Orgy or Sex Club? What 10 Markets Actually Search For

In September 2026 ZAVOS Magazine measured search terms related to group sex in 10 markets: the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. The tool was Google Trends and the period was the most recent 12 months. To compare the size of words across languages, English orgy was set as the baseline of 100 and every word was converted within the same batch. Separate country batches were then run to see the order within each market. Every term that came out large was checked by opening its related searches, to see what people type alongside it.

Skip the last step and the result is wrong. How often a word is searched and what the person searching it wants turned out to be two different questions.

The words for the act are searches for video

In every language measured, the biggest word for group sex turned out to be a search for video. The top related search for English orgy is orgy porn (100) and the second is xxx orgy (21). For gangbang, the top one is gangbang porn (100). Spanish orgia came with orgia xxx (100) and porno (70), and Italian orgia with porno orgia (100) and video orgia (39). Taiwan's 群交 came with 群交 av (100) and 無碼 (58), and Korean 갱뱅 carries 갱뱅 야동.

The shape was the same whatever the language. Most people who type the word for the act want to watch it, not go and do it.

People looking for somewhere to go type a place

The words that name a place carried entirely different related searches. For English sex club they came out in the order sex club near me (86), what is a sex club (66) and nyc sex club (29). These are searches asking whether one is nearby, what it is, and whether there is one in a given city. lifestyle club had not a single video-related entry among its related searches.

Each country has its own word doing this job. In Germany it is Swingerclub, in France club libertin, in Spain and Mexico club swinger, in Brazil casa de swing and in Japan ハプニングバー. The related searches for Brazil's casa de swing were o que é casa de swing (100), significado (42) and como funciona (11), most of them asking for an explanation. France's club libertin grew when paired with a city name. With club libertin paris at 100, Lyon came to 54, Toulouse and Bordeaux to 33, Nantes to 23 and Rennes to 22.

Add one word and the volume collapses

People type short. English swingers measured 91 against the baseline of 100, while swingers club stopped at 8. When orgy is 100, the plural orgies is 7. French partouze measured 91, against 1.6 for soirée libertine and 0.6 for libertinage. In Brazil, with suruba at 100, sexo em grupo reached only 3.4 and festa de swing 0.8.

Accents pushed in the same direction. Spanish orgia measured 37.8, while orgía with the accent measured 4.2. In French, echangiste at 5.9 left échangiste at 2.3, less than half. The correctly spelled version is the one searched less.

The raw number alone is wrong

A large volume is no guarantee that a word is a search about this subject. Much of the 91 for English swingers was swingers golf and swingers mini golf, the name of a British crazy-golf chain. French libertine was buried under a song by the singer Mylène Farmer and the film The Libertine. In Brazil the single word swing was mixed in with swing d4, Dire Straits, swing trading on the stock market and the swing setting on air conditioners.

Why each country has to be measured again

Even within one language, the order flipped when the country changed. Spanish intercambio de parejas (couple exchange) measured only 7.4 worldwide, but rose to 56 when measured inside Mexico. club liberal, which registers 18.5 in Spain, barely registered in Mexico at 0.1. Measure once by language and stop there, and all of these differences disappear.
